IEM Cologne is about to begin at Germany. It starts with a Play-in stage and 8 teams are heading to the next stage.
ITB starts the season against NiP. They are playing Bo1 game where even little mistakes counts as big ones.
NiP is clearly better team on the papers and they were upgrading the game in Blast tournament and they even won Major winner Vitality.

ITB was surprising at Majors but i dont think they got what it takes to challenge NiP at all.
Map pool is on NiP’s side and i’m confident with them.

Fnatic – Complexity (16:45)

Reasoning :

Fnatic and Complexity meets in their opening game of IEM Cologne.
Fnatic is favorite when it comes to bookers opinion but its not that clear.
They have not even started the season yet on tier1 level and theres been some changes on their roster.

Complexity started the season at Blast and they were showing skills from decent to good.
I’m counting on the big advantage that Complexity already has 4 tough games on the run.

Astralis – Liquid (18:00)

Reasoning :

Astralis and Liquid were playing at Blast against each others and it ended up in Astralis win by 2-0 maps.
Liquid started Blast with good mood and won G2 and Faze but after that started losing and ended the tourney with 2 straight losses.
I can’t see the setup changing in just under a week and believe the losing trend continues with them.

Astralis upgraded their playing from game to game at Blast and i believe they can keep it going against Liquid.

Apeks – BIG (19:15)
Pick : BIG +3.5
Reasoning :

Apeks meets the German organisation BIG.
BIG started the season at Blast and got few good games before IEM.
Apeks is just about to start the season now with one roster change.

Theres been some changes at BIG also where Mantuun replaces Sensey.
I’m thinking that BIG is marked as way too big underdog here.
Bo1 games are good for BIG and they have shown it in many tournaments.
